Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician. This position is a hands-on technician position responsible for performing work assignments, identifying needed work, preparing work areas, and conducting work to ensure the safety of occupants, continuity of business operations, and the cleanliness of all work areas. The position will support Fort Pierce/Port Saint Lucie area. 
The company desires an individual with a high degree of focus on customer service, exceptional technical skill and an aptitude for facilities maintenance including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, general building troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairs; along with executing preventive maintenance (PM) activities and including oversight of subcontracted services as required. The preferred candidate will be a hands-on technician, self-starter, dependable, have demonstrated knowledge in conducting building inspections, maintenance, and repairs as well as ability to quickly learn client sites, buildings, systems, norms of operation, occupancy, and conditions of use in order to anticipate and respond to customer needs and requirements responsibly and professionally. Proficiency in English as a second language is a requirement, be customer service oriented, a self-starter, reliable, flexible, conduct themselves in a professional manner, be able to make informed decisions, and have a willingness to learn. A company vehicle will be provided.
Experience and Skills required:

  • Requires minimum 5 yrs related experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record
  • Customer interface (communications, problem solving, work prioritization & scheduling)
  • Electrical skills (changing and installing lights, electrical outlets, lights, minor electrical, and troubleshooting)
  • Familiarity with Emergency Generators, Automatic Transfer Switches, and Fire / Life / Safety Systems.
  • HVAC service and repairs
  • Plumbing skills, (minor restroom repair of toilets, sinks, and fixtures)
  • Familiarity with Lift Stations.
  • Building skills, (doors & hardware, furniture & hardware, bulletin boards, etc.)
  • Painting skills, (for touch-ups and misc.)
  • Computer skills, (email, scheduling, maintenance management, work order & PM's)

Schedule:
Full time; Day shift, Monday through Friday. Must be able to work nights and weekends as required.
Salary:
Based on experience, plus benefits.
