Job description

Job Summary

The Facilities Associate is responsible for supporting the daily maintenance, cleanliness, appearance, and functionality of the World Equestrian Center's facilities, including hotels, arenas, expo centers, stadiums, public spaces, and back-of-house areas. This position assists in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests, exhibitors, associates, and visitors by performing routine maintenance tasks, inspections, repairs, and facility support services.

The Facilities Associate works closely with the Facilities, Engineering, Housekeeping, and Operations teams to ensure all areas of the property are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of facilities, grounds, equipment, and public areas.

• Conduct daily inspections of assigned areas to identify maintenance, safety, or cleanliness concerns.

• Assist with preventive maintenance programs for building systems and equipment.

• Respond promptly to facility-related service requests and work orders.

• Support event setup and breakdown activities, including moving furniture, equipment, barricades, and other operational items.

• Maintain cleanliness and appearance standards throughout assigned facilities and grounds.

• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and equipment malfunctions to management.

• Assist with minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair tasks as assigned.

• Operate facility equipment and tools safely and effectively.

• Ensure proper storage and inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.

• Support housekeeping and operations teams during special events, peak periods, and emergency situations.

• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA guidelines.

• Maintain accurate records of completed work orders, inspections, and maintenance activities.

• Assist with snow, storm, weather, or emergency response efforts as needed.

• Provide exceptional guest service by responding professionally to guest and associate requests.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
