Description
SUMMARY: Primarily responsible to work in Production operating the BIB filling and CO2 filling machines, filling pallets accurately at an efficient rate as determined by management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Physical handling of product, materials, supplies and equipment to fill BIB / Off-line responsibilities.
  • Assist Production in various production job duties to be able to cover employee breaks.
  • Operate industrial power equipment for lifting and moving product.
  • Stage completed pallets in designated area.
  • Manually lift and move product to restock and repack ensuring date code accuracy and proper rotation of product.
  • Adhere to good manufacturing and safety standards.
  • Responsible for meeting productivity requirements.
  • Maintain orderly and clean work area to comply with Company safety and sanitation requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned or requested.

Requirements
COMPETENCIES: Demonstrated attention to detail. Ability to operate a manual/powered pallet jack or lift. Prior warehouse experience preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. One (1) year general work experience.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret reports and work instruction. Ability to respond to common inquiries.
  • Mathematical Skills: This position requires the use of basic math skills to determine appropriate number of materials needed.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions supplied in both written and verbal format. Close attention to detail required to verify product numbers and date codes.

Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Certified Forklift License.
Other Skills and Abilities: None.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear.
The employee must occasionally lift, push, pull, carry and/or move from 10 to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision.
Repetitive use of the hands/arms/shoulders required in completing required work.
Bend and rotate at the waist 45 degrees with full are extension while lifting up to 45 pounds at a rate of 9 times per hour.
Climb a mobile ladder having 5 steps while carrying weights up to 45 pounds up to 10 times per hour. Full dexterity of both hands, arms and wrists necessary to reach a height of 72 inches while removing cases weighing over 40 pounds from the top of the pallet several times per shift.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to inside and outside work conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Floors may be wet/damp and slippery and safety shoes/boots are required. There will be exposure to temperature extremes while assisting with the unloading of sweetener in winter months.
