SUMMARY
Packaging Operators are a vital part of the organization, participating in a team-driven dynamic that values honesty, patience, respect and knowledge sharing. The Operators adhere to all quality procedures to ensure product is Right the First Time to maximize barrels per labor hour, minimize re-work cost loss, ensure no upstream or downstream production scheduling delays, and deliver the highest quality product to both external and internal customers. We are hiring a Full Time position. Hours will typically be 7am-3:30pm approximately, but overtime may be required. Positions are at the distribution center in Three Trails Industrial Park (87th Street between I435 and 71 Highway in Kansas City, MO).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform in the repacking of product to produce mix packs
  • Duties primarily include: unpacking full cans on to rework table by hand, placing finished can packs into trays, stacking beer trays (cases) onto pallets
  • Keep all work areas clean and organized
  • Adhere to all company safety policies
  • Assure that you are not attempting to operate equipment on which you are not properly trained
  • Responsible for notifying the packaging manager or line lead if anybody is acting in an unsafe manner
  • Perform periodic visual checks to assure the quality of the finished product in accordance with the quality checklist
  • All operators must be present and ready to perform their duties by the scheduled time and available to work a minimum of 2 hours overtime if required
  • Inform the packaging lead if the proper materials are not available so production is not interrupted
  • Make sure your work area is cleaned and maintained so required production can proceed
  • Notify packaging lead of any maintenance issues with the equipment
  • Notify the packaging manager of any issues with other employees immediately

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • An eye for detail
  • Ability to continuously lift under 20 lbs.; up to 50 lbs. frequently
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule when necessary
    • 7AM-330PM primarily, 2PM-1030PM as needed
  • Saturday work as needed
  • Work with integrity and work ethically
