Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Immediate Supervisor: Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Latin Specialties – Houston, TX

Department: Warehouse

FLSA Designation: Non-Exempt

Primary Duty- Responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled.

General Overview of Job- Responsible for filling customers’ orders and delivering them to the delivery platform in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, and productivity.

Supervisory Responsibility-None Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Hand Select orders within warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, including dry, cooler and freezer.
  1. Ensures quality of products being selected meet customer’s and Latin Specialties standards.
  1. Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product are loaded and shipped.
  1. Stack product on pallets in accordance with proper selecting procedures.
  1. Assemble various types of merchandise for shipment. Carry or transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment.

  1. Repack and weigh any orders that require such handling when necessary. Report quality variances.
  1. Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
  2. Conduct physical inventory as required.
  1. Stage Pallets for loading on proper dock locations.
  1. Shrink-Wrap product on loading dock.
  1. All other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience

Functional/Technical Knowledge:

Computer proficiency (Excel) and math skills.

Technical knowledge and proficiency level (Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced):

Specialized Training:

Work Experience:

Required: 1 year Warehouse experience.

1 year Experience operating electric pallet jack and/or forklift.

Skills and Abilities:

Material and Equipment Directly Used

Operate fork-truck and electric pallet jack.
