LEASING AGENT

Responsible for renting out apartments and assisting residents with their needs.

Compensation: $22.00 Hourly + Lease Commissions
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Vacation and Sick, 401K
Schedule: Tuesday - Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Responsibilities

  • Provide potential tenants with a tour of the property or home highlighting the valuable features of the building.
  • Assist in the marketing and advertising of vacancies on media/advert channels to attract potential tenants.
  • Run background checks on potential tenants.
  • Communicate the terms of the lease, rental rate, and period of payment to tenants.
  • Conduct a survey of the property market to obtain information on competing lease rates and other trends that affect occupancy/rent.
  • Ensure the proper documentation and storage of leasing files.
  • Assist the leasing manager/community manager in walking apartments for ready status.
  • Identify and report any state or federal law changes that effect the property lease, rules, or other guidelines used onsite.
  • Ensures confidentiality and controls access to sensitive information.
  • Ensures timely completion of their work.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: High School
  • Minimum Experience: 1-2 Years
  • Minimum Field of Expertise: Secretarial or specialized clerical, including some administrative experience.
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred Experience: 3 Years
  • Preferred field of expertise: Combined secretarial and administrative experience in a business environment, with experience using Yardi, CRM, and RentCafe.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
