Senior Project Manager - RNG Developer

Job description

AD Energy are partnered with a rapidly growing Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) developer who are continuing to expand their project delivery team across North America.

Due to continued growth and an increasing project pipeline, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of RNG infrastructure projects across the United States.

This is a high-impact role that will take ownership of projects from late-stage development through engineering, construction, commissioning, and operational handover. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget while coordinating across internal stakeholders, EPC contractors, engineering teams, utilities, and third-party vendors.

The position will be based in Houston, Texas, with travel required to project sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full lifecycle delivery of RNG projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and operational turnover
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, scope, risk mitigation, and overall execution strategy
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, EPC contractors, OEMs, consultants, utilities, and regulatory bodies
  • Drive project performance while ensuring compliance with environmental, health & safety, and operational standards
  • Monitor project milestones and proactively resolve technical, commercial, or construction-related issues
  • Support procurement activities, contractor negotiations, and vendor management processes
  • Provide regular project reporting and updates to senior leadership and executive stakeholders
  • Oversee construction activities and ensure alignment between field execution and project objectives
  • Work closely with development and commercial teams to support project feasibility and execution planning
  • Ensure successful commissioning and transition into operations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline
  • 7+ years of project management experience within RNG, biogas, renewable energy, midstream, oil & gas, or industrial infrastructure projects
  • Proven experience managing complex capital projects through full project lifecycle delivery
  • Strong understanding of EPC execution, construction management, commissioning, and contractor oversight
  • Experience working on renewable natural gas, anaerobic digestion, landfill gas, wastewater, or gas processing projects is highly preferred
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets, contracts, and project risk
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • PMP certification is considered advantageous
  • Ability to travel to project sites across the United States as required
