What You’ll Do as an Energy + Environment Senior Engineer

  • Lead and manage civil engineering technical design tasks for utility and renewable energy projects.
  • Develop design plans, drawings, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
  • Provide technical support during construction through site visits and design clarification and review.
  • Maintain accurate project records, including design documents, progress reports, and budget information.
  • Prepare SWPPPs and stormwater management designs per regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in project planning and align engineering tasks with scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Support project managers with schedules, documentation, and client presentations.
  • Ensure designs comply with state and local regulations, safety codes, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Provide direction, quality control and motivation to project team members.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers on project work and technical development.
Requirements:

What You Bring, Your Expertise as Energy + Environment Senior Engineer

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related field
  • 10–15 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in utility or renewable energy design.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D necessary, experience with MicroStation a plus.
  • Experience with solar, wind, battery storage, oil & gas and electric utility projects.
  • Experience with local zoning and planning reviews, PADEP and PennDOT permitting, County Conservation District permitting and preparing plans and permit application packages pursuant to local Pennsylvania Subdivision & Land Development Ordinance (SALDO) requirements
  • Experience with land development, utility, or renewable energy projects, including design and permitting (preferred).
  • Understanding of all aspects civil design plan preparation and construction bid packages.

Salary Range $130,000-$175,000

Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors. The salary range is not necessarily reflective of the actual total compensation that may be earned nor promises any specific pay for any specific employee.
