Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team at the Parent Infant Mental Counseling Center. In this full-time remote position, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality mental health care to individuals grappling with substance use disorders and associated psychological challenges. This opportunity comes with a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $104,000 annually and the potential for a sign-on bonus.

Work Environment

This position is structured for a remote setting, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a strong connection with our clients and the multidisciplinary team. You will have the opportunity to work from home while fulfilling your essential duties in a supportive and engaging environment. Our operating hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 7 pm, with the option for flexible scheduling arrangements, including 4x10 or 5x8 shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized psychotherapy or counseling to clients, triaging their needs effectively.
  • Conduct thorough interviews to gather and interpret a clientโ€™s social, personal, environmental, and health information.
  • Evaluate treatment plans, assess outcomes, and adjust interventions to ensure the highest quality of care.
  • Design and implement programs and activities that address and meet the social and emotional needs of clients.
  • Facilitate the case management of cognitive, affective, and behavioral health issues, including short-term crisis resolutions.
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with clients, promoting mutual respect and acceptance throughout the therapeutic process.
  • Document all client interactions and treatment progress in compliance with established protocols and standards.
  • Maintain an organized caseload and ensure accurate and up-to-date case notes reflective of the services delivered.
  • Conduct individual clinical counseling that adapts to the evolving needs of the clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support team goals and client care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population primarily consists of individuals in recovery from substance use disorders, along with those experiencing co-occurring mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, and trauma. The LCSW will have the opportunity to engage with a diverse set of clients, providing crucial support during transformative life phases.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience in clinical social work or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in counseling for behavioral mental health issues, specifically related to substance use, mood disorders, familial conflicts, and grief counseling.
  • Familiarity with integrated care approaches and participation in multidisciplinary health teams.
  • Proficient in utilizing client management software and documenting in electronic health records (EHR).
