As a remote mental health counselor, you will utilize cutting-edge technologies and platforms to conduct therapy sessions, manage case documentation, and collaborate with a team of mental health professionals. • Conduct thorough preliminary interviews, assessment evaluations, and document client cases from the initial consultation through treatment completion, employing the latest practices in mental health assessment.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans and recovery strategies based on individual client needs, encompassing interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate engaging and structured individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and conducive atmosphere for therapeutic exploration and healing.
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, adapting intervention strategies as needed to ensure positive outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with fellow mental health professionals, including specialists in related fields, to refine intervention plans and enhance client care.
• Communicate regularly with associated healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to align therapeutic objectives and track client well-being.
• Identify signs of behaviors that could impede recovery and proactively implement strategies to address them with clients and their families.
• Provide guidance to family members and primary caregivers, equipping them with tools to effectively manage mental and behavioral challenges alongside the client.

In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a rich demographic of clients facing various mental health concerns, encompassing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and more. Our clients are at diverse stages in their mental health journeys, and your expertise will play a critical role in fostering their growth and healing.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C within the state of Kansas.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, to effectively manage client cases and documentation.
• Strong understanding of the complex interplay between mental health and physical health conditions, including addiction disorders.
• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills essential for clear interactions with clients and other professionals.
• A compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with a commitment to fostering a supportive and therapeutic environment.

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage a diverse client caseload.
• Working knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and approaches tailored to individual client needs.
