The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home in Edison, New Jersey, or any location within the tristate area. Our telehealth platform enables you to conduct therapy sessions, assessments, and follow-ups with clients through secure online communication tools. You will operate within a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, typically between 9 AM and 4 PM, with some flexibility required to meet client needs.

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments via telehealth, utilizing evidence-based practices to identify clients' psychological needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other recognized modalities to address specific mental health concerns.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical records aligned with HIPAA regulations, ensuring all documentation is current and accurate.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team comprising psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to provide continuous and coordinated care.
• Participate in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to share insights and enhance treatment strategies, fostering team growth and improved client outcomes.
• Educate clients and their families on mental health issues, available treatments, and community resources, empowering them to take an active role in their health journey.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and developments in the mental health field to ensure the application of cutting-edge practices in your therapeutic approach.

Your practice will primarily focus on diverse populations, including individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health disorders. You will work closely with clients from various backgrounds, understanding their unique life experiences to provide personalized and effective treatment options. As a counselor, your role greatly impacts the clients’ recovery process, fostering resilience and promoting healthy coping strategies.

• A Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A valid and active professional license (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) in New Jersey.
• Proficiency in applying solution-based psychotherapy interventions suited to individual client needs, demonstrating a flexible and responsive therapeutic approach.
• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to establish rapport with clients effectively.

• Direct experience working in telehealth or virtual counseling environments.
