Work Environment

This position offers a remote working arrangement, enabling you to effectively balance your professional obligations with personal commitments. While primarily working from home, you will focus on virtually supporting students and collaborating closely with educators in Springfield’s educational settings to implement impactful mental health interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of students to create customized treatment plans that address their specific mental health needs.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, to promote positive outcomes and support academic success.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of client interactions, assessments, and treatment progress, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Engage in regular collaboration with teachers, school counselors, and parents to provide a comprehensive support system for students.
• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in social work and psychology to enhance service delivery and improve client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with students facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related issues. Your role will be vital in facilitating access to mental health resources and promoting emotional health within the school community. By creating a trusting relationship with students, you will empower them to express their feelings and work through their challenges in a safe environment.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• An active Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) license in the state of Vermont.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with students, families, and school staff.
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems and maintaining confidentiality in a digital environment.
• A collaborative mindset that thrives in a team-focused setting.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in a school environment or with children and adolescents is highly preferred.
• Experience implementing evidence-based practices specific to trauma, anxiety, and academic-related mental health challenges.

Compensation and Benefits
