Work Environment

Your day-to-day operations will primarily involve collaborating with educators and school administrators to address the mental health needs of students. While the role is remote, occasional visits to local schools may be required for direct engagement with the student population. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your pivotal responsibilities will encompass:

• Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate the social, emotional, and psychological needs of students and their families.
• Delivering individualized counseling sessions and group therapy utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to address diverse challenges faced by students.
• Formulating and executing personalized service plans that align with clients' goals, ensuring a pathway toward achieving meaningful outcomes.
• Championing client advocacy by facilitating their access to necessary resources and addressing relevant social justice matters within the educational framework.
• Participating in program development, evaluation, and reporting to ensure quality standards and grant compliance are upheld.
• Collaborating with educators, school staff, community organizations, and volunteers to broaden the scope and accessibility of our services.
• Engaging in continuous professional development through team meetings, training sessions, and community outreach efforts to stay informed on best practices in social work.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will center on students and their families within the school setting, particularly those facing challenges such as mental health issues, family instability, or social inequities. You will employ a trauma-informed approach, providing empathetic and culturally sensitive support to empower individuals and foster resilience in adverse situations.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• Must hold an active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C).
• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed care methodologies and an understanding of advocacy and social justice principles.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

While two years of relevant experience in a nonprofit organization or related environment is required, candidates with a background in educational settings or childhood mental health services will be favorably considered. Familiarity with community resources and service integration is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
