Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify clients' mental health needs and crafting individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients to foster their journey towards mental wellness.
  • Facilitating individual, couples, and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic methods tailored to meet diverse client needs.
  • Monitoring client progress, engaging in ongoing evaluations to ensure treatment efficacy, and making necessary adjustments to intervention strategies.
  • Guiding clients with educational resources and coping strategies to maintain mental health outside of sessions, thus promoting long-term resilience.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care when needed.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation in compliance with state regulations and ethical guidelines to uphold professional standards.
  • Actively participating in continuous professional development opportunities, including advanced certifications, mentorship programs, and clinical supervision.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele encompasses a diverse demographic, including children, adolescents, and adults facing various mental health challenges. You will work with individuals from different cultural backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses, necessitating cultural competence and sensitivity. Your role will be pivotal in providing tailored therapeutic approaches that respect and address the unique experiences of each client.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related field.
  • A valid and active Washington State license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of experience working directly in a behavioral health setting, implementing therapeutic interventions and developing treatment plans.
  • Strong familiarity with Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) and a proven ability to integrate these methodologies into your practice effectively.
