Key Responsibilities

As an LCSW at Sunny Valley Psychotherapy Center, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of students' counseling needs to identify any mental health challenges and co-occurring disorders.
  • Utilizing DSM criteria to diagnose substance abuse issues and determining the appropriate level of care in accordance with ASAM guidelines.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each student, emphasizing substance abuse counseling.
  • Creating effective discharge and continuum of care plans to facilitate a smooth transition for clients to the next level of care.
  • Documenting all counseling interactions, assessments, and service plans accurately in each student's clinical record, adhering to best practices for confidentiality and compliance.
  • Maintaining an active client caseload, managing case reviews, and completing treatment planning and clinical charting as required.
  • Coordinating support services for students and their families, ensuring that all services provided are well-documented in the clinical records.
  • Engaging with referral sources such as legal representatives, schools, and employers to ensure a network of support for students.
  • Facilitating interventions for crisis situations by working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide timely and effective responses.

Qualifications
