Job description

Job Summary

The 988 Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the clinical supervision of Lifeline Counselors on the 988 Wisconsin Lifeline team who include a combination of paraprofessionals and bachelor and master degreed level staff. The Clinical Supervisor facilitates individual and group clinical supervision, and continually evaluates and provides feedback to improve the quality of interactions between Lifeline Counselors and help seekers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of a system that ensures that all help seekers receive appropriate services.
  • Evaluate live interactions or transcripts between Lifeline Counselors and help to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote best practices in mental health care delivery.
  • Participate in the development of a system that ensures that all Lifeline Counselors receive the appropriate clinical supervision, staff development, and in-service training.
  • Advise Clinical Manager on training needs of staff to ensure quality service.
  • Provide in-service training opportunities for Lifeline Counselors and other 988 staff.
  • Advise the Program Manager, Director, and/or Vice President of any concerns and needs to assure quality services.
  • Participate in program evaluation and program planning processes.
  • Provide feedback to Lifeline Counselors upon weekly review of documentation and ensure compliance with policy and procedures, ethical standards, and state mandates.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: Master's degree in social work or related field
  • Preferred Education: None
  • Minimum Experience: 3 years of experience providing direct service to help seekers
  • Preferred Experience: 2+ years of clinical supervision experience
  • Required Licensure: Wisconsin State Licensure as Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Minimum Requirements to Work Remotely:

  • Remote workers are required to sign a Remote Work Agreement and follow Remote Work parameters as detailed in the Employee Handbook.
  • Remote workers must reside in the State of Wisconsin; work for 988 Wisconsin Lifeline must only occur while in the State of Wisconsin.
  • Remote workers must have a private, confidential workspace.
  • Remote workers must have the ability to double-lock any confidential information kept at home and appropriately dispose of any confidential information stored at home (i.e. shredding).
  • Remote workers must have the capacity to plug their computer/phone directly into their modem/router.
