Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to understand the challenges faced by students and their families.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each client.
• Provide one-on-one and group therapy, leveraging evidence-based practices to facilitate healing and resilience.
• Coordinate care by collaborating with teachers, school staff, and parents to create a support system for students.
• Advocate for community resources and services that enhance a student’s quality of life, including access to healthcare, nutrition, and social services.
• Respond appropriately to crisis situations, such as incidents of abuse or acute mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of students.
• Document treatment plans and progress in compliance with established guidelines, ensuring continuity of care.
• Conduct follow-ups and monitor clients’ situations, adjusting care plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clientele you will be working with primarily consists of students in the K-12 system who may face a variety of personal and social challenges. This includes issues related to mental health, family dynamics, trauma, and life transitions. Your role is crucial in helping these young individuals cope with stressors, enhance their emotional intelligence, and build resilience for future challenges.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• A valid and active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in California.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably working with youth in educational environments.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with clients therapeutically, utilizing well-developed listening and interviewing skills.
• Experience in community mental health and familiarity with clinical program administration.
