Volanno is seeking a part-time employee (approximately 15- 20 hours per week but may vary) to support FUSE, Volanno's immersive training platform. We anticipate the duration of this role to be three months, but it may be extended based on business needs. This role will assist with capturing 360 photo and video content for use in FUSE training environments and will also support outreach efforts to help identify and build relationships with organizations that may benefit from immersive safety, emergency response, medical, and workforce training.

This position is intended to support FUSE content development, early business development outreach, and use-case discovery within public safety, EMS, fire, higher education, and medical training environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. 360 Photo and Video Capture

  • Capture 360 photos and/or video footage for potential use in FUSE training modules.
  • Assist with identifying controlled environments, training locations, classrooms, facilities, or staged scenarios that may be appropriate for immersive training content.
  • Coordinate with Volanno team members regarding required shots, locations, content needs, and intended training use cases.
  • Ensure captured content is organized and submitted in a usable format.
  • Document basic details for captured content, including location, date, subject matter, and potential training application.
  • Follow all site-specific safety rules, access requirements, and direction from Volanno or authorized site personnel

2. FUSE Training Content Support

  • Assist the FUSE team with gathering real-world visual content that can support immersive training experiences.
  • Provide input from an EMS/student perspective on potential training scenarios.
  • Help identify practical use cases for FUSE in emergency services, public safety, higher education, and medical training      environments.
  • Support review of captured content to determine whether it is useful for training development.
  • Provide basic notes or observations on how FUSE may apply to EMS, fire, medical, or safety training.

3. Outreach and Relationship Support

  • Assist Volanno with identifying potential contacts in fire departments, EMS organizations, universities, medical programs, and related fields.
  • Help make introductions where appropriate based on existing relationships or field knowledge.
  • Support initial outreach efforts to organizations that may be interested in FUSE.
  • Provide background information on relevant organizations, training needs, and possible points of contact.
  • Help Volanno better understand how FUSE may apply to EMS, fire, medical, and public safety training environments.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Current or prior experience, education, or exposure in EMS, fire service, public safety, healthcare, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with fire departments, EMS programs, universities, or medical training environments.
  • Interest in immersive training, virtual reality, 360 content, and workforce development.
  • Ability to work independently while following direction from Volanno team members.
  • Comfort taking photos, capturing video, organizing files, and following basic content capture instructions.
  • Strong professionalism when interacting with outside organizations or potential contacts.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to  provide clear updates on assigned tasks.
  • Located in the DC/Metro area. The work location will be hybrid between remote, Volanno HQ, and field-based content capture      at approved locations
    • Any field-based work is expected to occur in coordinated, controlled, and approved environments such as training areas, classrooms, facilities, walkthroughs, or staged scenarios.

This role is not intended to place the employee in active emergency scenes, live incident response environments, or unsafe operational situations.
