Job description

Role: Senior Natural/ADABAS Developer

Location: Austin, TX

Duration: 12 Months

Summary:

Development of new batch or online programs and modifications of existing programs including developing and modifying reports

Development of ad hoc reports

Developing complex SQL Queries in a DB2 z/OS environment to assist with data analysis and to update data based on specific business requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • 8 Years of Required Experience with Texas CPA’s Integrated Tax System.
  • 8 Years of Required Experience creating, maintaining, and enhancing information systems written in Natural for DB2
  • 8 Years of Required Experience with z/OS JCL and TSO ISPF
  • 8 Years of Required
  • Experience working with CPA’s applications including the Integrated Tax System (ITS), Audit Systems, and Statewide Financial Systems.
  • 6 Years of Required Experience with the development of various DB2 reporting mechanisms such as IBM’s Query Management Facility (QMF), Squirrel, Query Man, or Teradata Data SQL Assistant
  • 6 Years of Required Experience creating complex SQL queries, reports, and data extracts from DB2 z/OS DBMS
  • 5 Years of Required Extensive experience analyzing data from various data models, databases, and tables
  • 4 Years of Required Experience with software development processes, prepare detailed documentation and generate work estimates in an Agile, RAD and other SDLC environments
  • 4 Years of Required Extensive experience with highly complex security application requirements
  • 4 Years of Required Experience in unit and system integration testing of developed application
  • 4 Years of Required Experience writing conversion programs to transform extremely large complex data structures into other formats.
  • 4 Years of Required Experience accepting assignments from a formal process such as an ITIL ticketing system
  • 4 Years of Required Extensive experience with the CPA Crude Oil and Natural Gas tax system
  • 2 Years of Required Experience building and maintaining Upload/Download programs for CPA Integrated Tax System (ITS) Tax data.

Preferred Skills:

  • 4 Years of Preferred Experience creating, maintaining, and enhancing information systems written in COBOL
  • 2 Years of Preferred Experience working with enterprise software solutions
  • 2 Years of Preferred Experience with Web-enabling mainframe Natural programs
  • 2 Years of Preferred Public sector experience (Federal, State or Local Government)
  • 2 Years of Preferred Proficient with the Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, TEAMS, Microsoft Project, Word, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint
