As part of the hospice center, you will collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, ensuring well-coordinated care for our patients.

• Provide evidence-based psychotherapy to individuals facing mental health issues related to substance use disorders, employing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand patients’ needs and develop tailored treatment plans aimed at promoting recovery and improving overall mental health.
• Administer individualized therapeutic interventions that support patients' substance abuse recovery journeys, ensuring a compassionate and understanding approach.
• Maintain meticulous clinical records that comply with state and federal regulations, ensuring patient confidentiality and information security.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to provide holistic care and support, including working closely with medical professionals and specialists in areas such as nutrition and additional therapies.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health, substance abuse resources, and recovery strategies, empowering them with knowledge for their healing process.
• Stay current with the latest research in substance use treatment and mental health, integrating findings into your practice to enhance patient outcomes.
• Manage your caseload effectively, setting achievable treatment goals while complying with ethical and professional standards.

You will work with a diverse group of clients, primarily individuals dealing with substance abuse issues and their associated mental health challenges. This population may include those in various stages of recovery, from initial assessment to ongoing treatment in a hospice environment, where they may face unique emotional and psychological needs. Your role is crucial in helping them navigate the complexities of recovery with dignity and compassion.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution, ensuring a solid foundation in clinical practices.
• A valid LICSW license in the state of Massachusetts, allowing you to practice independently and provide therapeutic services.
• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience focused on substance use therapy, demonstrating your hands-on knowledge and skills in this vital area.
• Strong understanding of and experience with solution-focused interventions, enabling you to assist clients in practical and effective ways.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, essential for building relationships with clients and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

While 1 year of clinical experience is required, candidates with additional experience in hospice, palliative care, or other end-of-life settings will be prioritized. Familiarity with electronic health records systems and telehealth platforms will also be advantageous, as these tools are integral to our remote work structure.
