What is remote work?

Remote work refers to a work arrangement where employees perform their job duties outside of a traditional office environment, often from home or another location of their choice. This setup leverages digital technology to communicate and collaborate with coworkers and clients. Remote work offers flexibility in terms of work location and sometimes hours, making it a popular option for both employers and employees. It can increase productivity, improve work-life balance, and reduce commuting time and costs. However, it also requires discipline, good communication skills, and reliable internet access.

To thrive in remote work, you need strong self-management, time management, and digital literacy skills, along with relevant qualifications for your specific job role. Familiarity with collaboration tools like Slack, Zoom, Trello, and cloud-based document platforms is typically required. Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team at Shift Perspective Mental Health. This full-time role provides an exceptional opportunity to work remotely while delivering quality mental health care to clients in an outpatient environment. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and offer supportive therapy to individuals and families.

About the Organization

At Shift Perspective Mental Health, we are committed to transforming mental health care through an integrative, patient-centered approach. Our values emphasize respect, empowerment, and understanding, fostering a culture where every team member's voice is heard and valued. We take pride in our mission to serve a diverse population, including vulnerable communities, and are dedicated to advancing best practices in mental health care.

Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, allowing you the flexibility to manage your work-life balance effectively. However, you will also have access to our outpatient office in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, where we focus on collaboration with colleagues and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for our clients. We utilize state-of-the-art telehealth technology and electronic medical records systems to streamline our operations and enhance service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations and assessments to identify each client's unique mental health needs and develop an understanding of their circumstances.
  • Create and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, focusing on their goals and preferences while utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Facilitate individual and group psychotherapy sessions, utilizing techniques tailored to the clientโ€™s needs and ensuring a supportive therapeutic environment.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment updates, in accordance with departmental and state guidelines to ensure continuity of care.
  • Collaborate closely with our healthcare team, including case managers and other therapists, to develop comprehensive and responsive treatment strategies, discharge plans, and care coordination services.
  • Assist clients with discharge planning by linking them with community resources and services to facilitate smooth transitions and ongoing support.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work predominantly with adult clients facing a range of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. Your interventions will not only aim to alleviate symptoms but also work towards empowering clients to achieve personal growth and improved relationships. You will develop an in-depth understanding of the socio-economic factors that affect our client population and incorporate cultural competency into treatment strategies.

Qualifications
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 3 years of direct clinical experience in an outpatient setting, demonstrating a successful track record of client engagement and treatment effectiveness.
  • Proficient in using electronic health record systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and teletherapy platforms to manage client interactions and documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently while managing a diverse caseload.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in trauma-informed care, couples therapy, or working with diverse populations are highly valued. Familiarity with evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) will enhance your ability to meet client needs.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to fiscal compensation, our benefits package includes:

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and life insurance plans.
  • Short-term and long-term disability insurance.
  • Generous paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and holidays.
  • Professional development opportunities, including workshops and training to support continued education and licensure requirements.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Shift Perspective Mental Health, we are committed to the growth and development of our staff. You will have access to mentored career pathways, opportunities for leadership roles, and ongoing training programs to enhance your clinical skills and professional expertise. We encourage our therapists to engage in research initiatives and community outreach programs, further enriching their experience and impact.

Why Join Our Team

Joining Shift Perspective Mental Health means becoming part of a passionate team that is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our clients. Here, you'll find an inclusive environment that supports innovation and collaboration. We believe in empowering our staff to make meaningful changes in both their professional and personal lives.
