This full-time position is primarily remote, allowing you the flexibility to manage your schedule while working within our outpatient psychiatric office in Waldorf, Maryland. This role offers the unique benefit of remote work, allowing for a work-life balance that is crucial for mental health professionals. Your regular work hours will be Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility depending on patient needs. • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand each patient's needs, allowing for the development of personalized treatment plans that are evidence-based and goal-oriented.
• Utilize therapeutic techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy to provide effective treatment to individuals, couples, and families.
• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups to foster community and shared understanding among clients dealing with similar mental health challenges.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and health professionals to create a comprehensive care approach for patients, ensuring continuity and coordination of services.
• Respond to crises by providing immediate intervention and support, showcasing your skills in crisis management and de-escalation techniques.
• Educate patients about their mental health conditions, developing their understanding of treatment options and available community resources to ensure informed decision-making.
• Maintain detailed and confidential patient records in adherence to all legal and ethical standards, utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) system effectively.
• Engage actively in team meetings, case consultations, and continuing education opportunities to enhance professional growth and stay current with industry advancements.

Your work will primarily involve a diverse clientele facing varied mental health challenges. • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited educational institution is required.
• Must possess current and valid licensure in the state as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C.
• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to assess mental health needs and create effective treatment plans is vital.
• Experience delivering therapy to diverse populations, with a focus on empathy and active listening skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
