Aristotle

Washington, DC • On-site, Remote

$65K - $80K/yr

Full-time

Medical, Retirement, PTO

Job description

Since 1983, Aristotle has been a leader in developing technology and harnessing data used in political campaigns on both sides of the aisle-from the county level up to the White House. Our flagship political campaign software, Campaign Manager, is the only three-in-one campaign relationship management platform available. It's all you need for campaign compliance, fundraising and accounting reporting. Looking to expand your campaign's voter targeting? Our National Voter File, National Donor File, National Consumer File and New Mover File can be appended with over 1,000 demographics to enhance your voter lists for better targeting, leading to better results at the polls.

We're building a flexible WordPress framework to spin up beautiful, modular websites-leveraging custom content modules alongside native Gutenberg blocks. You don't have to be a designer, but you do need a strong design eye and the technical chops to put together polished, userfriendly pages. As our WordPress Content Designer, you'll own site structure and content layout, translating IA blueprints into live Gutenberg builds.

As a WordPress Content Designer, you will:

  • Define and implement information architecture for new site builds-mapping content hierarchies, navigation flows, and template layouts.
  • Assemble and configure pages in Gutenberg using a mix of core blocks and our custom modules.
  • Write and maintain CSS to customize block styles, ensuring responsive, accessible designs across devices.
  • Collaborate with content owners, designers, and developers to tailor existing modules and identify needs for new custom blocks.
  • Migrate, structure, and format content for clarity, engagement, and SEO best practices.
  • Document site structures, block patterns, and content guidelines for ongoing reuse.
  • Stay current on Gutenberg enhancements, accessibility (WCAG) standards, and frontend performance optimizations.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of handson WordPress experience, with deep familiarity using the Gutenberg editor.
  • 1-3 years of CSS experience for custom block styling and responsive layout work.
  • Strong understanding of information architecture, content modeling, and taxonomy management.
  • A keen eye for visual hierarchy and user experience-able to craft polished pages without a designer's toolkit.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable collaborating across U.S. time zones (PST to EST) in remote, hybrid, or inoffice environments.

NicetoHaves

  • Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and custom Gutenberg block development.
  • Familiarity with WCAG accessibility guidelines.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and onpage optimization.
  • Experience using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Background in largescale content migrations or other CMS implementations.

Salary Range: $65k-$80k per year

This role requires an in-office presence on a hybrid schedule.

Benefits

All positions are Full-Time, with competitive compensation, medical benefits, paid vacation, 401k plan and stock options. Casual dress code and a non-corporate atmosphere make this a fun place to work and learn in a team environment. Please visit our website at www.aristotle.com.
