Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Simulator Operator (Sim Driver) to support training operations within a United States Air Force Air Control Squadron (ACS) in Aviano AB, Italy. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with military experience in a C2 or aviation environment, strong computer and systems operation skills, and capable of working collaboratively with all military ranks from senior officers to junior airmen. **This position is located in Aviano AB, Italy (International Assignment) **NO REMOTE WORK**
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Support ACS operator training and evaluations by participating in scenario development, scenario building, mission planning, mass briefs, mission briefs, scenario execution, debriefs, analysis, and after-action reports.
  • Operate simulation systems to accurately replicate real-world missions, to include 4th / 5th Gen fighter employment, 4th / 5th Gen Fighter Integration (FI), Offensive Counterair (OCA), Defense Counterair (DCA), Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD), Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD), Air Interdiction (AI), Close Air Support (CAS), Strike Coordination and Reconnaissance (SCAR), Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR), and Dynamic Targeting (DT).
  • Accurately replicate real-world tactical environments, to include weapons system capabilities and employment, threat profiles, data links, communications, countermeasures, weather effects, and rules of engagement.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current military operations, employment, tactics, techniques, procedures, doctrine, standards, and other official guidance to ensure these are all properly incorporated into scenarios and training.
  • Interface with mission leads, instructors, evaluators, squadron leadership, and other simulation agencies to ensure scenario integrity, timing, and tactical realism.
  • Support academic development and training by preparing, coordinating, and presenting briefings and leading discussions as requested by ACS leadership.
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware and software problems affecting simulations and escalate significant issues to the appropriate system technicians and government personnel, as necessary.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of experience in a military or technical training environment, preferably supporting C2, ABM, or air defense operations
  • Strong working knowledge of computer systems, networks, and/or simulation environments (NGTS, SCULPT, CSP)
  • Ability to follow scripts, timelines, and mission objectives with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills; ability to work as part of a team during dynamic mission scenarios
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Active U.S. SECRET clearance / TS/SCI Eligible

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Operational experience as a USAF 11F, with the most recent operational experience being within the past 4 years
  • Prior military experience in C2 (13B/1C5X1), aviation operations, or simulation support
  • Familiarity with ACS/CRC/AOC or AWACS operations
  • Experience in using or supporting simulation systems such as MASE, SCULPT, CSP, Next Generation Threat System (NGTS), or equivalent C2 training environments
  • Working knowledge of USAF IQT/MQT/CT training environments and AFMAN 13-1 Vol 1/3 operations
  • Advanced military tactics school (USAF WS/WTI/TOPGUN/etc.) graduate
  • Familiarity with USAF command and control operations, particularly CRC/AWACS, C2ISR, AOC, and tactical coordination within joint/combined combat environments.
  • Working knowledge of USAF IQT/MQT/CT training environments and regulations.

An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $196,400.00
