Job description

Overview
This position delivers strategic insight into business systems through complex analysis, reporting, and operational activities. Serves as a technical expert on system usage and performance. Determines business requirements and implements appropriate specifications, monitoring for compliance and effectiveness. Assists in identifying and resolving process issues which may involve system testing or development. May oversee the work of less experienced analysts in the work group.
Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis - Sources, compiles, and interprets data. Analyzes data for accuracy and efficiencies, effectively communicates analysis output.
  • Identifying Requirements - Determines system requirements and communicates them using specifications, reports, project plans, or other forms of documentation. Identifies issues that affect system processes and assists in correcting. Ensure compliance through testing and analysis.
  • Reporting - Produces advanced reporting based on data analysis, user input, and system testing. Identifies patterns, problems, and areas of improvement. May develop process enhancements based on analysis results.
  • System Support - Provides expert technical support for systems by responding to escalated inquiries, ensuring processes run smoothly, and working to continuously improve the end-user experience. Implements recommended modifications and enhancements. Serves as an analytics resource to wider organization or business units, offering guidance on systems and data output.
  • Documentation - Creates and maintains documentation of both requirements and system design. Helps the team and works with architects to organize Wiki pages or similar catalogs of documentation.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Systems Support, or Analytics, or Operations Support OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Systems Support, or Analytics, or Operations Support
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in commercial banking/foreign exchange preferred
  • Experience working with JIRA or similar tools to track requirements, stories, and testing progress
  • Experience with development, specifically in an Enterprise Java environment, is considered a plus
  • Experience working in a Scaled Agile / Enterprise Agile environment a plus
