Better You Mental and Wellness Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, LMFT, LCSW) for a full-time remote role. This professional will be integral in providing high-quality therapy focused on mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, within an outpatient office setting. Work Environment

This role offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions from the comfort of your own home while maintaining close connections with a vibrant support team. Collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers is integral to our practice; thus, technology will play a vital role in ensuring care coordination. Our operational hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts to accommodate client scheduling and needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients to identify the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their psychological wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with clients to create tailored treatment plans that resonate with their personal goals and treatment preferences.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to provide effective treatment interventions.
  • Guide clients and their families on education surrounding mood disorders, instilling knowledge about various treatment options and empowering them with self-care strategies.
  • Implement ongoing monitoring of clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect their evolving needs.
  • Work alongside psychiatrists and medical professionals to deliver integrated care, ensuring a synchronized approach to each clientโ€™s treatment process.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapeutic efficacy and client outcomes.
  • Document client sessions, assessments, and treatment plans accurately and confidentially in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The therapist will focus primarily on clients with mood disorders, which may include a range of challenges such as Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, and related anxiety disorders. Our clientele reflects a tapestry of backgrounds, ages, and experiences, and as such, the chosen candidate will need to embrace cultural competence and sensitivity when engaging with clients.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, specifically in treating clients with mood disorders.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based interventions such as CBT and DBT that have shown effectiveness in treating mood disorders.
  • Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology to collaborate effectively with prescribing psychiatrists.
  • A track record of achieving positive treatment outcomes in previous roles, showcasing the ability to manage complex client cases.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between USD 80,000 and 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
