Position Overview

Vitalize Metal and Wellness Center is actively seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our innovative team. This full-time remote position is based in Bridgeport, Connecticut, within our dedicated detox center. The LCSW will play a critical role by providing therapeutic support to individuals, couples, families, and groups, focusing on those grappling with a variety of mental health challenges. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing an active caseload and delivering effective psychotherapy, assessment, and consultation services to empower clients in achieving their personal goals and enhancing their overall well-being.

Work Environment

This remote position allows for flexibility and work-life balance, with a set schedule from 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Friday, with no evening or weekend commitments. This structure ensures that you'll have dedicated time to focus on client needs without the stress of after-hours work. As an LCSW at Vitalize, you will be part of a collaborative team that includes healthcare providers and administrative staff, working collectively to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans that align with each client's therapeutic goals.
  • Provide effective psychotherapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s unique circumstances and challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and behavioral health specialists, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and federal behavioral health programs to effectively refer clients to additional resources as needed.
  • Engage in regular evaluations and timely intake assessments for new patients, ensuring an empathetic and respectful approach throughout the diagnostic process.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies when needed, providing immediate support and referring clients to appropriate services or inpatient care.
  • Screen for substance use disorders, including prescription and illicit drug abuse, and make necessary referrals to medication-assisted treatment (MAT) options.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on individuals dealing with mental health disorders ranging from anxiety and depression to substance use issues. You will work with a diverse client population, including individuals from various cultural backgrounds, ensuring that your interventions are culturally sensitive and relevant. Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited institution is mandatory.
