About the role:
As a Principal Supplier Quality Engineer, you will lead surveillance of the manufacturing operations performed by the supplier to assess the conformity of these operations according to the contractual requirements. You ensure that the supplier implements the nuclear safety culture and you identify and reports deviations to the contractual requirements. You will review the final documentation and issue to quality release at the end of the manufacturing process. You will report to the Manager, Supplier Quality EMEA and work remote. 100% Remote role.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Witness the manufacturing activities such as welding, non-destructive examination, dimensional control, Destructive testing... based on the surveillance plan managed by the supply chain.
  • Raise the deviation to contractual requirements in the dedicated template.Issue a report after each activity of surveillance performed.Review End of Manufacturing Reports.
  • Issue quality release (QR) prior shipment of equipment.Perform unscheduled oversight based on lessons learned and weakness of supplier
  • Support supply chain and project team request and provide information on main event occurring at the supplier facility
  • Support the SQO team as a back-up when there are too many activities in parallel or when someone is in vacation

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering
  • 5+ years of experience as manufacturing inspector/surveillance engineer in the nuclear industry.
  • Certification in NDE or welding is preferred (such as NF EN ISO 9712, CWI or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of NDE, especially UT and RT, and welding activities
  • Knowledge of nuclear construction code/regulation (RCC-M, ASME, ESPN...)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes for critical nuclear equipment
  • Willing to travel often (between 50 to 75%)
