As a valued member of our team, you will engage with a diverse patient population, addressing a range of mental health challenges through innovative, evidence-based therapeutic practices.

About the Organization

At Brave Recovery Counseling Services, we are committed to fostering mental wellness in our community. Our outpatient psychiatric practice specializes in providing compassionate care for individuals struggling with conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse. Our mission is rooted in creating a supportive environment where both patients and therapists thrive. We pride ourselves on employing methodologies that promote actionable recovery and resilience, and we are dedicated to continuously updating our practices based on the latest research in the field.

Work Environment

This role is 100% remote, allowing our therapists to collaborate seamlessly from the comfort of their own spaces while using our secure telehealth platform. The remote work setting not only improves work-life balance but also empowers our therapists to engage effectively with patients regardless of geographical barriers. We provide a supportive atmosphere that emphasizes teamwork, communication, and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health evaluations to assess patients’ unique needs and develop tailored treatment plans that align with their individual goals.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy during sessions, adapting the approach based on patient progress.
  • Lead psychoeducational and support groups to offer clients a platform for shared experiences and community building.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure each patient receives holistic and coordinated care.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed, offering immediate support during critical mental health emergencies.
  • Educate patients regarding various mental health conditions and treatment avenues, linking them to relevant community resources for comprehensive support.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with all legal regulations, ensuring ethical service delivery.
  • Participate actively in case consultations and team meetings to discuss patient progress and share insights on therapeutic practices.
  • Continuously update personal knowledge and skills within the mental health field by engaging in professional development opportunities and staying informed of the latest research.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our therapists work with a diverse client base, including individuals and families from various backgrounds, facing an array of mental health challenges. This exposure not only enriches the therapeutic environment but also enhances the therapist's experience and skill set. You will have the opportunity to foster lasting change in your clients' lives by tailoring your approach according to their personal histories and treatment needs.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R within the state of New York.
  • Extensive knowledge of various mental health disorders and therapeutic modalities.
  • Demonstrable experience in conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and formulating effective treatment plans.
  • A strong background in providing individual and group therapy across diverse populations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a positive relationship with patients and team members.
  • Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems, which streamline administrative tasks and patient management.
  • Ability to maintain a strong ethical framework and professional boundaries during all client interactions.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a teletherapy setting is highly desirable, alongside proficiency in adapting therapeutic approaches in a virtual format.
  • Prior experience in facilitating support groups or psychoeducational workshops is favorable.
  • Familiarity with community mental health resources and support systems to enhance patient referrals and follow-up care.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We believe in rewarding our employees for their hard work and dedication, which is reflected in our comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Healthcare benefits covering medical, dental, and vision.
  • An employer-contributed retirement savings plan to support your financial future.
  • Generous paid time off and holiday pay to promote work-life harmony.
  • Professional liability insurance coverage for peace of mind.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, emphasizing lifelong learning.
  • A strong pathway for career advancement within our organization, allowing you to grow alongside us.
