West Valley Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a qualified Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our remote team. Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule while benefiting from a collaborative team culture that prioritizes communication and teamwork. Our operational hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive and culturally sensitive mental health assessments, capturing patients' experiences to formulate tailored treatment plans.
  • Implement and adapt evidence-based therapeutic interventions that resonate with individual patients’ cultural and personal backgrounds.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions focused on addressing specific mental health issues and promoting resilience and overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other team members to ensure cohesive and holistic patient care.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support, applying your skills to manage mental health emergencies effectively.
  • Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatment modalities, and community resources, empowering them in their recovery journey.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
  • Actively engage in case conferences, team meetings, and cultural competency training, contributing to ongoing professional development.
  • Keep abreast of current research, best practices, and developments in cultural considerations regarding mental health therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Holding a current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
  • A profound understanding of mental health disorders coupled with evidence-based treatment approaches and a commitment to cultural competence in therapy.
  • Demonstrated expertise in delivering therapy in culturally responsive ways, whether individually or in groups.
  • Strong crisis intervention skills paired with the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that allow for rapport-building with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications to manage documentation effectively.
  • A strong commitment to maintaining professional boundaries, adhering to ethical guidelines, and ensuring confidentiality in all interactions.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a multicultural clinical setting, with a focus on serving clients from diverse communities.
  • Background in crisis intervention and stabilization techniques, particularly in remote settings.

Compensation and Benefits
