Overview

Kreative Technologies is seeking a motivated and adaptable Systems Engineer. This role will focus on supporting system operations, lifecycle management, and technical coordination across a dynamic and evolving technology environment.

The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who thrives in collaborative environments and can support systems engineering efforts across multiple technologies and stakeholders. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to operate in an environment where tools, platforms, and requirements may evolve over time.

Responsibilities

  • Support system lifecycle management activities, including requirements gathering, system planning, and technical refresh initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to assess system needs and support implementation of technical solutions
  • Coordinate system deployments, upgrades, and maintenance activities to ensure system stability and performance
  • Assist in managing system configurations, baselines, and documentation across the lifecycle
  • Provide technical support for system operations, including troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and issue resolution
  • Develop and maintain system architecture documentation, configuration artifacts, and operational procedures
  • Coordinate with vendors and technical teams to support integration and implementation of system components
  • Support continuous monitoring, compliance, and security requirements across systems

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • 47+ years of experience supporting systems engineering, system administration, or related technical roles
  • Experience working within enterprise IT environments supporting system operations and lifecycle activities
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience supporting Windows Server environments and enterprise infrastructure
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and system access management
  • Experience working with web/application servers (e.g., IIS, Tomcat, or similar)
  • Experience with databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, or similar)
  • Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, or similar)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Security+ certification (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe)
  • Experience supporting federal or DoD environments
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Information Management (EIM), content management, or data platforms
  • Experience with system integration, migration, or modernization efforts
  • Experience working in environments with evolving requirements and emerging technologies
  • Exposure to cloud or hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, etc.)

Additional Information

  • Occasional off-hours support (evenings/weekends) may be required for system deployments or maintenance activities
  • This is a remote position; however, candidates must be able to support U.S.-based federal programs
