Job description

Project Manager- Nuclear Energy

2 years, with options to renew

Work Location    :  New York

Location: 100% Remote

General Guidance for Expected Years of Experience: 7-10 years

Where the work will be performed: Remote but may request in-person meetings in NYC or Albany.

**Although there is a preference for the resource to be present for on- site stakeholder and working group meetings, the most qualified candidate can be remote with minimal or no travel, if necessary.

Initiative: Advanced Nuclear Master Plan

What skills are needed to be successful in this role?

Strong project management experience including managing timelines, project plans, action lists, preparing internal briefings, managing consultants etc Advanced written and oral communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Are there any specialized skills that must be present for the position to be successful?

Technical expertise/experience on nuclear technologies, preferably including advanced nuclear technologies

Certifications and qualifications, including education/degree:

Minimum Qualifications:

4+ years of work experience on nuclear energy (including duties that rely on nuclear technical expertise/ understanding), and a nuclear engineering degree or certification (eg bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering; reactor operator license) or highly related engineering or science degree

Provide project management for the advanced nuclear team including managing timelines, project plans, action lists, preparing internal briefings, managing consultants, etc.

Other duties that contribute to the key outcomes of the Office of the President and the Advanced Nuclear Plan initiative.
