Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to collect detailed information on clients’ histories related to substance use, mental health conditions, and specific treatment requirements.
  • Create individualized treatment plans that specifically address clients’ addiction challenges and any co-occurring mental health issues, using best practices in therapeutic methodologies.
  • Lead engaging individual and group therapy sessions employing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to maximize client engagement and recovery outcomes.
  • Collaborate dynamically with various treatment professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and case managers, fostering an integrated and holistic approach to client care.
  • Educate and support clients’ families, fostering their involvement in the recovery process and enhancing their understanding of mental health and addiction.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in alignment with regulatory and ethical guidelines, ensuring high standards of documentation.

Qualifications
  • Possess a current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; however, a master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in addiction counseling and substance abuse treatment through specialized training or relevant experience.
  • Strong familiarity with evidence-based practices for treating co-occurring disorders.
  • Exceptional therapeutic skills with an ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients, fostering a positive therapeutic alliance.

  • A minimum of two years of direct clinical experience in mental health counseling, especially focused on substance abuse treatment.
