Job description
We are seeking an experienced Database Analyst to drive a major IT Service Management (ITSM) modernization project. In this position, you will lead the data migration from legacy service desk tools over to the Ivanti ITSM suite and Ivanti Neurons.
If you excel at data modeling, ETL processes, and automated asset tracking, this is your next big project.
Position Logistics
- Work Arrangement: 100% Remote / Telecommuting (Must work within the US)
- Location: Salem, Oregon
- Interview Process: 100% Virtual via MS Teams
- Equipment: Bring Your Own Equipment (BYOE) - Requires reliable high-speed internet, computer, webcam, and smartphone. Secure network access is provided via VPN.
The Core Focus Pillars
- Data Migration & ETL: Mapping legacy records (hardware, software, vendor, financials) into Ivanti object structures, defining data transformation rules, and executing data cleansing.
- CMDB & Asset Management (ITAM): Designing, normalizing, and validating the Configuration Management Database to enable automated, scalable IT asset tracking.
- Business Intelligence & Agile Operations: Writing SQL queries, building dashboards, tracking KPI metrics, and documenting workflows within an active Agile team.
Important Skills & Requirements
Mandatory Technical Expertise:
- Proven hands-on experience with Ivanti ITSM and Ivanti Neurons for Discovery.
- Strong proficiency in SQL queries, report building, and operational dashboard design.
- End-to-end ETL, data mapping, and data normalization experience.
- Deep understanding of CMDB, IT asset tracking, and software license compliance.
Education & Experience Baselines:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) OR 2+ years of professional experience as a Data Analyst/Architect/Administrator.
- Preferred: 9+ years of overall enterprise database design experience.
- Preferred: Prior experience supporting IT modernization projects for state/local government agencies.
