As the Solutions Specialist - Single Use (SSS) for Watson-Marlow Architect (WMA), youwill play a key leadership role in driving the growth, adoption, and technicalsuccess of the WMA platform across the USA Life Sciences division. Reporting tothe Vice President, you will work collaboratively with Sales, Engineering,Product Management, and Marketing teams to deliver best-in-class solutionexpertise, support complex customer projects, and ensure WMA solutions meetevolving customer needs from early-stage design through full-scalemanufacturing.
You will serve asthe technical authority on Single-Use Systems (SUS), providing deep expertisein system architecture, fluid path design, product integration, and validationconsiderations. The SSS will be responsible for translating customer requirementsinto scalable, high-value solutions while supporting the commercial team inpositioning WMA effectively within the market.
The primaryresponsibility of the SSS will be to work cross-functionally throughout theLife Sciences division to define, develop, and standardize solution bestpractices for WMA. This includes creating sales enablement resources,supporting new product introductions, and ensuring alignment between globalteams and US stakeholders.
This role will beexpected to build and maintain a strong network within the Single-Useecosystem, including end users, EPCM firms, system integrators, and industryorganizations. In this high-impact role, you will act as a thought leader byrepresenting Watson-Marlow at industry events, influencing market perception,and driving adoption of WMA solutions through technical credibility andstrategic engagement.
What you'll be doing
• SolutionLeadership: Serve as the subject matter expert for WMA and Single-UseSystems, supporting system design, workflow mapping, and architecturerecommendations to meet customer requirements.
• SalesEnablement: Partner with the sales team through customer co-visits,technical presentations, and deep-dive discussions to clearly articulate thevalue and capabilities of WMA solutions.
• LargeProject Support: Provide technical guidance on complex customer projectsfrom initial design through execution, including risk analysis, solutionoptimization, and project reviews.
• TechnicalExpertise: Maintain deep knowledge of SUS trends, competitive platforms,regulatory requirements, and customer URS to inform solution design andcommercial strategy.
• Training andDevelopment: Design and deliver training programs for customers, internalteams, and industry partners to enhance understanding and adoption of WMAsolutions.
• Innovationand Product Support: Support new product introduction activities includingbeta testing, voice-of-customer (VOC) collection, documentation development,and training content creation.
• StrategicPlanning: Collaborate with the WMA Business Manager and cross-functionalteams to develop and execute market strategies that improve awareness,positioning, and adoption of WMA in the US.
• RelationshipBuilding: Build and maintain strong relationships with EPCM firms, systemintegrators, and key customers to drive specifications and successful projectexecution.
• TechnicalContent Development: Develop application notes, configuration guides, anddigital enablement tools to support both internal and external stakeholders.
• Networkingand Industry Engagement: Attend and present at conferences, tradeorganizations, and industry events to expand network reach and establishthought leadership in the SUS space.
• Communicationand Alignment: Ensure seamless coordination between global WMFTS teams andUS stakeholders to maintain consistency in messaging, capabilities, andexecution.
Who you'll be working with
This role ishighly cross-functional and requires strong collaboration with Sales,Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, and the WMA Business Manager.Success in this role depends on building effective partnerships internallywhile also developing strong external relationships with customers, EPCM firms,system integrators, and industry organizations.

• Willingness andability to travel up to 50% to support customer engagement, project execution,and industry events.
• Demonstratedtrack record of successfully growing a Single-Use business, with experiencesupporting revenue exceeding $5 million.
• Bachelor'sdegree in business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related technical fieldrequired; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in biopharmaceutical applications, system design, orSingle-Use technologies.
• Comprehensiveknowledge of Single-Use system architecture, configurable fluid path solutions,and engineering design principles.
• Provenleadership and problem-solving capabilities with a strong customer-focusedmindset.
• Strong businessacumen with the ability to influence both commercial and technicalstakeholders.
• Advancedtechnical consultation skills, including process mapping and workflowoptimization.
• Excellentpresentation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency inMicrosoft Office and familiarity with CRM systems and team-based projectmanagement tools.
This position offers a salary range of USD 108,413.00 - 162,619.00 per year and eligibility to a Sales Incentive Program. Final salary offers are determined by multiple factors, including education, experience, internal equity, geographic location, and the candidate's expertise, and therefore may vary from the range listed. For roles based outside Massachusetts, the applicable salary range may be lower.
