As part of a transformational initiative focused on scaling decentralized governance, the team is building an AI-enhanced governance framework designed to coordinate one of the largest and most sophisticated ecosystems in Web3.

At the center of this transformation is a comprehensive governance system that defines how stakeholders collaborate, make decisions, and evolve the ecosystem over time. This role offers an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of decentralized governance at scale.

The Opportunity

Our Client is seeking an Ecosystem Governance Operations professional to become a founding member of a highly strategic team responsible for designing, operationalizing, and continuously improving governance workflows.

This is not a traditional operations role. You will act as a governance architect, researcher, coordinator, and process designer, helping build the systems that enable a large decentralized ecosystem to function effectively. Success requires strong judgment, intellectual curiosity, exceptional writing skills, and a genuine passion for decentralized governance.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct original research related to governance frameworks and ecosystem operations
  • Draft, review, and maintain governance documentation and rule systems
  • Structure and integrate large amounts of information into governance workflows
  • Coordinate with ecosystem contributors, subject matter experts, and stakeholders
  • Design and improve governance processes and operational workflows
  • Review governance outputs for consistency, compliance, and quality
  • Identify patterns, insights, and opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Leverage AI-assisted workflows to increase operational efficiency and knowledge management
  • Help shape the evolution of governance systems in a rapidly changing environment
Requirements
  • Deep familiarity with decentralized governance and community-driven organizations
  • Strong understanding of the MakerDAO ecosystem and its Endgame vision
  • Experience working within DAOs, Web3 communities, governance teams, or decentralized ecosystems
  • Exceptional written communication skills in English
  • Strong organizational and operational capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex workflows simultaneously
  • High level of ownership and ability to operate independently
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous and experimental environments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a DAO Facilitator, Governance Lead, Governance Operations Manager, Community Architect, or similar role
  • Experience drafting governance frameworks, legal documents, policies, or operational procedures
  • Published research or thought leadership related to governance, DAOs, or Web3
  • Experience designing AI-assisted operational workflows
  • Familiarity with Notion and advanced knowledge management systems
  • Legal, finance, policy, or research background
  • Experience building governance systems or community processes from 0 to 1
