Remote Web3 Developer information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Web3 Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Web3 Developer, you need strong programming skills in languages like Solidity or Rust, a solid understanding of blockchain technology, and experience with smart contract development. Familiarity with decentralized application (dApp) frameworks, version control systems like Git, and blockchain platforms such as Ethereum or Polkadot is typically required. Excellent problem-solving abilities, self-motivation, and effective remote communication skills set outstanding candidates apart. These abilities are crucial for building secure, innovative blockchain solutions and collaborating effectively in distributed teams.

What are some common challenges a Remote Web3 Developer might face, and how can they be addressed?

Remote Web3 Developers often navigate rapidly evolving technologies and decentralized platforms, which can present unique challenges such as integrating with various blockchains, ensuring security in smart contracts, and keeping pace with frequent updates. Collaboration can also be complex since teams are often distributed globally and may work asynchronously. To address these challenges, developers can participate in regular virtual stand-ups, utilize collaborative tools like GitHub and Slack, and commit to continuous learning through online courses and community forums. Establishing clear communication channels and documenting processes also help maintain project coherence and security standards.

What is a Remote Web3 Developer?

A Remote Web3 Developer is a software engineer who specializes in building decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts that interact with blockchain technologies, all while working from a remote location. Their work often involves using programming languages like Solidity, JavaScript, or Rust, and frameworks such as Ethereum, Polkadot, or Solana. Remote Web3 Developers collaborate with global teams to create, test, and deploy blockchain-based solutions for various industries, including finance, gaming, and supply chain. With the rise of decentralized technologies, this role is in high demand and often offers flexible work arrangements. They must also stay updated on the rapidly evolving blockchain ecosystem.

What is the difference between Remote Web3 Developer vs Blockchain Developer?

AspectRemote Web3 DeveloperBlockchain Developer
CredentialsKnowledge of blockchain tech, smart contracts, SoliditySimilar credentials, often with blockchain certifications
Work EnvironmentRemote, collaborative teams, blockchain projectsRemote or onsite, focused on blockchain infrastructure
Industry UsageUsed in decentralized apps, DeFi, NFTsUsed in blockchain protocol development, security
Search IntentLooking for blockchain development roles with remote optionsSeeking blockchain-specific roles, often more technical

Remote Web3 Developers focus on building decentralized applications and smart contracts across various blockchain platforms, often working remotely. Blockchain Developers may work on core protocol development or security aspects, with overlapping skills but sometimes more technical or infrastructure-oriented. Both roles require blockchain knowledge, but Remote Web3 Developers typically emphasize application development and user-facing projects.

Job description

Overview At Mobalytics, we're not just another esports platform; we are the personal gaming assistant for millions of gamers. Now, we're embarking on our most ambitious project yet: building a groundbreaking, blockchain-powered esports data analytics system from the ground up. This is not a minor feature—it's a core initiative with significant backing, and the mission to revolutionize how esports data is verified, owned, and experienced.

We will process massive, real-time in-game data and leverage smart contracts to create a transparent ecosystem of verifiable player stats, on-chain achievements, and a new layer of fan engagement. We are assembling a dedicated, top-tier "special ops" team of 6-8 engineers to own this foundational project over a 9-15 month timeline. This is your chance to design, architect, and build a world-class system at the intersection of data and blockchain.

Hiring for Core Roles Blockchain Developer (1-2 Roles) Backend Developer (1-2 Roles) Frontend Developer (1-2 Roles) DevOps Engineer Data Engineer UX/UI Designer Technical Project Manager Your Impact: What You\'ll Build Architecting a Scalable Data Pipeline: Designing systems to ingest and process terabytes of real-time data from multiple game titles. Developing & Deploying Smart Contracts: Creating secure, efficient smart contracts for on-chain player achievements, verifiable stats (via oracles), and fan engagement mechanics. Building a High-Performance Backend: Crafting robust APIs and microservices to serve data analytics to our frontend and interact with the blockchain layer.

Creating Immersive User Experiences: Designing and building intuitive user interfaces that allow players and fans to explore their data, achievements, and on-chain assets. Ensuring System Reliability: Implementing CI/CD, monitoring, and infrastructure that scales to meet the demands of the global esports community. Our Tech Stack (Planned & Open to Your Expertise) This is a greenfield project.

While we have a strong direction, we value the input of our founding engineers.
