Job description

In this role, you will own the Digital Cart and Checkout product experience, driving initiatives that improve conversion, reduce cart abandonment, optimize payment experiences, and enhance the end-to-end customer purchasing journey. You will partner with business and technology stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation across cart management, checkout workflows, promotions, payment solutions, fulfillment options, and customer experience optimization. Leveraging customer insights, analytics, and Agile product management practices, you will prioritize features that deliver measurable business value while creating a seamless, scalable, and customer-centric digital commerce experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end digital checkout experience across web, mobile, and emerging commerce channels, ensuring a seamless and frictionless purchasing journey Manage and maintain a transparent product backlog, re-evaluate customer product needs and continually balance priorities of the product across maintenance and strategic initiatives
  • Define and prioritize customer-facing checkout enhancements, including guest checkout, express checkout, saved payment methods, and account-based purchasing experiences
  • Review product features as they are developed, providing feedback and guidance.
  • Participate as a member of the Agile Team, attend Scrum Events, and is responsible for defining epics and stories including Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done
  • Interacts with a diverse set of stakeholders, including Senior Management, business and technology teams, customers, suppliers, and external partners
  • Represent the needs of many stakeholders in the Product Backlog and work directly with delivery teams as the voice of the customer
  • Drive cohesion across the team but focus efforts on the desired features, while ensuring that each team member is able to contribute to the product's goals
  • Provide clear direction and flexibility when priorities change based on user needs and requirements
  • Partner with Analytics teams to monitor and improve checkout KPIs, including checkout conversion rate, cart-to-order conversion, payment authorization success rate, and checkout completion time
  • Collaborate with other POs, and Product Executives to ensure the vision of the product is being met and that the product backlog is aligned with the program backlog
  • Manage checkout-related integrations with third-party payment providers, tax engines, shipping carriers, fraud detection tools, and order management systems
  • Serve as a thought leader for a specific business and technology team and assists other leaders with the delegation of work assignments
  • Embody the Scrum Values: Openness, Respect, Courage, Commitment and Focus

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent, relevant work experience required.
  • 6 or more years' experience as a Product Owner with Agile facilitation background, working in an agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
  • Ability to write clear precise Scrum user stories for scrum teams
  • Must have a bias for action and be comfortable in an ever changing or ambiguous environment
  • Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks such as SAFe or Scrum@Scale
  • Product Innovation, Design thinking and/or CX/UX experience is a plus
  • Advanced Agile/ Scrum development background
  • Familiarity in working in a SaaS environment
  • PSM/PSPO OR SAFe POPM certifications preferred

For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan,subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
