Remote Web Optimization information

What is remote web optimization?

Remote web optimization is the process of improving a website’s speed, performance, and user experience from an off-site location. Specialists in this role analyze website data, identify technical issues, and implement strategies such as image compression, code minification, and content delivery network (CDN) integration. Their goal is to ensure websites load quickly and function smoothly for users worldwide, all while working remotely using various online tools and platforms.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote web optimization specialist?

To thrive as a Remote Web Optimization Specialist, you need expertise in web analytics, SEO, A/B testing, and a strong understanding of website usability, often supported by a degree in marketing, computer science, or a related field. Proficiency with tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, Hotjar, and content management systems (CMS) is typically required. Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills help you collaborate with remote teams and articulate optimization strategies. These skills ensure websites perform efficiently, attract traffic, and ultimately drive results for business objectives in a remote setting.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in remote web optimization roles, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in remote web optimization often face challenges such as coordinating with cross-functional teams in different time zones, maintaining clear communication, and staying updated with rapidly evolving web technologies. To address these issues, it's important to use collaborative tools like project management platforms and regular virtual check-ins. Additionally, proactively seeking feedback, investing time in continuous learning, and setting clear goals with measurable KPIs can help ensure alignment and success in a remote environment.

Job description

Overview
Corporate Tools is hiring a Senior Referral Affiliate Manager to join our team. This is a remote position, but if you're near one of our local offices, you're welcome to come hangout with us in-office as well. Our main offices are in Post Falls, ID, and Spokane, WA; we also have satellite offices in Austin, TX, and Salt Lake City, UT. You'll be working 40 hours a week and, of course, enjoy great company benefits.
We are looking for a Senior Referral Affiliate Manager to help manage our affiliate profile, build affiliate relationships, and lead competitive analysis. This role will require someone who excels in an autonomous position and can lead negotiations to close deals. They will work with our marketing team to make updates to our affiliate programs as our services change and evolve.
Wage
Up to $100,000 / year
Benefits
  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental & vision Full coverage for employees - nothing comes out of your paycheck. Plus an annual review with a raise option.
  • Time off that grows with you 22 days PTO + 4 holidays to start. After 3 years it bumps to 29 days, and after 5 years you move to flexible time off - not accrued, not capped. Take time off when you want.
  • Parental leave & 401(k) match Paid parental leave, plus up to 6% company 401(k) matching with no vesting period - it's yours from day one.
  • Quarterly allowance Spend it on whatever makes work better: a comfier remote setup, continuing-education classes, a plant for your desk, coffee for a coworker, a massage for yourself... really, whatever.
  • No dumb perks (and a trail mix bar) No weekend dog-walking gimmicks that look cool but cost nothing because nobody uses them. We spend on benefits you'll actually use - an open-concept office, friendly coworkers, a creative environment, and yeah... a trail mix bar.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain our affiliate profile, grow it, and make sure it ranks well
  • Develop relationships with key affiliates in the Registered Agent and Domains industries through research, referrals and networking
  • Strategize long-term affiliate growth opportunities
  • Complete competitive analysis on regular basis to help our program stand out
  • Recommend process improvements and coordinate with various teams to address affiliate program needs
  • Deliver affiliate marketing reports to stakeholders
  • Manage business negotiations with customers
  • Work with management team to execute and close new affiliate deals
  • Communicate with new and existing affiliates regarding upcoming promotions and optimization opportunities
  • Ongoing research (or knowledge) of affiliate marketing trends, compliance and tracking related changes

Requirements
  • At least 3 years professional experience in a service based affiliate management role
  • Experience or knowledge of Registered Agent and/or Domains industries
  • Experience leading business negotiations and closing deals
  • Proven experience implementing successful process improvements and new program ideas
  • Thorough experience using affiliate platforms, experience with ShareASale a plus
  • Understanding of web analytics
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and organization skills
  • Must be a problem solver, one who hustles to find a solution and is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done
