The Product Marketing Manager supports product strategy execution and go‐to‐market (GTM) readiness by translating market insights, customer needs, and product inputs into clear, consistent messaging and enablement assets. This role partners closely with Product Management, GTM teams, and Sales to support market‐informed product positioning, roadmap communication, and launch readiness across assigned products or initiatives. Summary The Product Marketing Manager supports product strategy execution and go‐to‐market readiness by translating market insights, customer needs, and product inputs into clear, consistent messaging and enablement assets.

This role partners closely with Product Management, GTM teams, and Sales to support market‐informed product positioning, roadmap communication, and launch readiness across assigned products or initiatives. What you'll do here Support go‐to‐market readiness and product launches by coordinating messaging, enablement assets, and timelines across Product, Marketing, and Sales teams. Lead the analysis of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform product positioning, roadmap communication, and GTM execution.

Execute ongoing structured collection and synthesis of voice‐of‐customer and voice‐of‐field insights to support messaging, enablement materials, and launch readiness. Shape and influence product roadmap development and prioritization by providing market, customer, and field‐informed inputs in close partnership with Product Management. Develop and maintain foundational product messaging, including value propositions, target personas (buyers, users, influencers), and product descriptions.

Partner with and inform the Sales Enablement team to support the creation and maintenance of sales enablement tools for GTM execution, including product and sales demos, one‐pager documents, and product messaging for outbound and prospecting efforts. Own and maintain product messaging across web and marketing channels, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with product strategy. Drive industry visibility through strategic identification and execution of relevant awards, sponsorships, certifications, and tradeshows and serve as the content lead for company‐hosted events and webinars aligned to product lifecycles and release milestones.

Skills you will need here Working knowledge of product marketing and go‐to‐market concepts, including product positioning, customer segmentation, and GTM readiness. Ability to analyze market dynamics, competitive landscape, and customer or field feedback and translate insights into actionable clear messaging and enablement materials. Effective cross‐functional collaboration with strong autonomy, proactively tackling issues and raising risks or roadblocks that require broader alignment.

Proven ability to influence decision‐making and direction across multiple cross‐functional teams through insights and partnership. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create concise, audience‐appropriate product messaging and sales tools. Experience developing or supporting sales enablement assets such as one‐pagers, knowledge‐transfer documents, and product or sales demos.

Strong collaboration skills and comfort working cross‐functionally with Product, Sales, and Marketing partners. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a similar field, or equivalent practical experience. Typically requires 2+ years of related experience in product marketing, marketing, or equivalent practical experience.

Compensation At Cengage Group, the full base pay range for this position is USD 67,000.00 to USD 87,100.00. Individual base pay will vary based on qualifications, experience, and geographic location. Sales roles often include an additional incentive compensation program.

In this position, you will be eligible to participate in the company's discretionary incentive bonus program, with a bonus target that is not guaranteed and is dependent on performance.
