Job description

About VictoriaMetrics

We are the company behind the popular open-source, high-performance time-series database and monitoring solution, VictoriaMetrics; as well as the open source logs database, VictoriaLogs, and our open source traces database, VictoriaTraces. Together, they form the VictoriaMetrics Observability Stack.
We are a fast-growing scaleup making our mark on the observability landscape with solutions that are simple, reliable and efficient. Fortune 500 companies use our products as their core observability solution such as Spotify R&D, Wix, Hubspot, Adidas, and thousands others. Our products have now surpassed 1 billion downloads.

About the opportunity

We have built strong momentum across European and North American markets, with established inbound and referral lead-generation channels that we are now ready to scale.

We are hiring a Marketing Manager focused on operations and execution to join our North American team. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, North America, you will be the engine that turns strategy into shipped work — running campaigns end-to-end, managing the marketing stack, building AI-powered workflows and agents, and making sure every initiative is measurable, repeatable, and on time.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves both the craft of marketing execution and the leverage that AI and automation bring to a modern team. You will be a key member of the Marketing team, helping define and execute our company and product messaging, content strategy, and marketing communications across the US market.

Required Qualifications
  • 4-7 years of B2B marketing experience with a strong operations and execution background; working with open-source, developer tools, or infrastructure software

  • Proven track record of running end-to-end marketing programs - planning, launching, measuring, and iterating - across email, web, paid, events, and content

  • Hands-on with the marketing stack: CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot), analytics (GA4 ), CMS, and integration tools.

  • Proficient with AI tools and how to apply them to real marketing work:

    1. Daily use of LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) for research, drafting, editing, and content repurposing

    2. Strong prompt engineering skills - can write, test, and refine prompts to produce consistent, on-brand, technically accurate output

    3. Comfortable building AI projects and agents (custom GPTs, Claude Projects, agent workflows, RAG over internal docs) to automate recurring marketing tasks

    4. Understands how to evaluate AI output critically, fact-check technical claims, and keep humans in the loop where it matters

  • Automation mindset - you instinctively look for the repeatable parts of a process and wire them together with scripts, integrations, or agents

  • Strong project management; can run multiple workstreams without dropping balls, and brings structure to ambiguous problems

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to collaborate across engineering, sales, product, leadership and customers

  • Based in the United States, authorized to work in the US, and able to overlap with both East Coast and European business hours as needed.

  • Self-directed and comfortable working in a remote, distributed team

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience marketing open-source projects, developer tools, or infrastructure software (observability, databases, monitoring).

  • Light coding for custom automations and data work.

  • Experience with attribution modeling and multi-touch reporting.

  • Prior experience at an early-stage or founder-led company.

What You Will Do

Marketing Operations NA

  • Own the marketing tech stack: CRM, marketing automation, analytics, attribution, and the integrations between them.

  • Maintain clean data, lead routing, lifecycle stages, and reporting dashboards so the team and leadership can trust the numbers.

  • Define and document repeatable processes for campaign launches, content production, and reporting.

  • Manage budgets, vendors, and tool evaluations; ensure spend is tracked and tied to outcomes.

Campaign Execution (End-to-End)

  • Plan, launch, and measure full-funnel campaigns — email sequences, webinars, paid programs, content launches, and events — from brief to retrospective.

  • Coordinate across content, design, web, sales, and engineering to keep campaigns on schedule and on brand.

  • Run A/B tests, analyze results, and iterate; bring data-driven recommendations to the Head of Marketing.

AI-Powered Content & Workflows

  • Use AI to accelerate content creation — outlines, first drafts, editing, SEO variants, social repurposing, and translations — while preserving the VictoriaMetrics technical voice with human review and sign-off.

  • Write, test, and version prompts as reusable assets the entire team can rely on (a shared prompt library, templates, and style guides).

  • Build AI projects and agents that automate recurring work — for example, a content-repurposing agent that turns a blog into LinkedIn posts, newsletter snippets, and SEO/AEO variants; a research agent that monitors competitor releases; or a customer-story agent that drafts case study outlines from call transcripts.

  • Pilot new AI tools, share what works with the broader team, and help raise the AI fluency of marketing as a whole.

Sales Enablement

  • Partner with the Head of Marketing NA and product marketing peers to keep enablement assets current — pitch decks, one-pagers, and demo narratives — and make sure sales can find what they need.

Feedback Loops

  • Run regular feedback loops with sales, support, and engineering — both live readouts and an async knowledge repository — so marketing stays connected to frontline insights.

Together we will

Grow business and engagement in North America with focus our key product lines:

  • Work with the Head of Marketing (NA), the sales team, and the founders to operationalize value propositions for the chosen go-to-market approach.

  • Measure, analyze, and improve marketing and sales metrics on a continuous cadence.

  • Build a modern, AI-augmented marketing function that punches above its weight.

Compensation & benefits
  • Competitive Base Salary

  • Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision coverage

  • Remote-first culture / Flexible PTO
