Senior Integration & API Developer (Remote)
A growing organization is seeking a Senior Integration & API Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise integrations, RESTful APIs, and data services that enable secure, scalable data exchange across business applications. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for an experienced developer who enjoys building modern integration solutions, designing reporting-friendly data architectures, and implementing robust data governance practices.
The ideal candidate has expertise in API development, systems integration, enterprise data architecture, and cloud technologies. Experience with CRM integrations and Business Intelligence (BI) platforms is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable RESTful APIs and enterprise integration services.
  • Build and support integrations between internal applications, third-party platforms, cloud environments, and on-premise systems.
  • Develop reusable integration components that promote scalability, maintainability, and enterprise connectivity.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize API performance, reliability, and availability.
  • Design integration solutions that provide clean, structured, and reliable data for reporting and analytics.
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and downstream data needs.
  • Develop data transformation, validation, and synchronization processes across multiple systems.
  • Design and implement audit logging, data lineage, and traceability solutions to support compliance and operational visibility.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and governance throughout all integration processes.
  • Create monitoring, alerting, and error-handling processes for integration workflows.
  • Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, architects, and project stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and recommend best practices for API design, integrations, and enterprise data management.
  • Document APIs, integration workflows, technical specifications, and support processes.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Five or more years of experience developing enterprise applications, APIs, and systems integrations.
  • Strong experience designing, developing, and supporting RESTful APIs.
  • Experience integrating cloud-based and on-premise enterprise applications.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise data architecture, data modeling, and integration best practices.
  • Experience designing data solutions that support business intelligence, reporting, and analytics.
  • Experience implementing audit logging, audit trails, data lineage, or similar governance capabilities.
  • Strong SQL development and database design experience.
  • Experience working with JSON, XML, and API authentication methods such as OAuth and JWT.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience integrating with enterprise CRM platforms.
