Job description

At Local Crafts, we're the creative force behind some of the most beloved names in crafting, including Connecting Threads, Superior Threads, Knit Picks, Crochet.com, and Berroco. From our own workshops to trusted partners around the globe, we design and curate products makers reach for every day: the fabrics, threads, yarns, and tools that turn ideas into finished pieces.

We're building a newly created role to lead sales performance across Madelinetosh, Dream in Color, Berroco, and the partner brands sold through Berroco's distribution network (Amano, Lang, LOPI, Wool Addicts, and West Yorkshire Spinners). You'll be the driving force and go-to resource behind a nationwide network of independent sales reps, giving them the pricing, product, and marketing support they need to grow their accounts and hit our shared sales goals.

What You'll Do:

  • Own sales targets across Madelinetosh, Dream in Color, Berroco, and Berroco's partner brands, using data to track performance and adjust course.
  • Manage our Sales Support and Marketing team, working closely with Sales Operations to deliver a great experience for reps and clients alike.
  • Help set and manage pricing strategy across our wholesale brands.
  • Own newsletter content and build the sales collateral our independent reps rely on.
  • Build out product bundles reps can bring to in-person meetings, so they have what they need to sell.
  • Design and run promotions that drive rep engagement and sell-through with wholesale accounts.
  • Be the product knowledge expert our reps turn to first.
  • Travel regularly to Texas to visit our warehouse and see the product firsthand.
  • Find better ways to run our sales support and marketing processes, and put them into practice.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in the yarn, fiber, or craft industry.
  • A background in B2B or wholesale sales.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • A track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Comfort setting pricing and promotional strategy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You'll Thrive Here If

  • You love the craft industry and enjoy being the person who knows the product inside and out.
  • You get energy from supporting a team of independent, entrepreneurial sales reps.
  • You're comfortable working remotely while staying closely connected to your team and reps.
  • You enjoy turning pricing and product strategy into simple, usable tools for a sales team.
  • You're always looking for a better way to do things, and you act on it.

Additional Information

  • This is a remote role reporting directly to the GM of B2B.
  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k) with company match; paid time off; and parental leave.
  • Employee discounts across all Local Crafts brands, including Connecting Threads, Superior Threads, Knit Picks, Crochet.com, and Berroco.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Local Crafts is unable to sponsor employment visas for this position.
  • Frequent travel to Texas is required to visit our warehouse and see product in person.
  • Must currently reside in Colorado, Ohio, Washington, or Texas.

At Local Crafts, we believe our people make us stronger. We're committed to building an inclusive workplace where everyone is treated with respect, has the opportunity to grow, and feels they belong. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences and make employment decisions based on qualifications, skills, and business needs. Local Crafts is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
