Job description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to support and enhance our enterprise ServiceNow platform across multiple product lines, including IT Service Management (ITSM), Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD), Employee Center Pro (ECP), Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC), Security Operations (SecOps), Vulnerability Response (VR), and Nuvolo.
This role is ideal for a hands-on technical expert who can lead complex development efforts, drive platform best practices, and partner with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing ServiceNow solutions. Supporting CFPB.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications and modules such as ITSM
  • Build and maintain custom ServiceNow functionality using:
    • Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions
    • Flow Designer / Workflows
    • Catalog Items, Record Producers, Service Portal / Employee Center
  • Implement and optimize integrations using:
    • REST/SOAP APIs
    • IntegrationHub / MID Server
    • Data imports, transform maps, and scheduled jobs
  • Configure and enhance Employee Center Pro experiences and HR service workflows.
  • Develop and maintain GRC controls, policy/compliance workflows, and reporting dashboards.
  • Support SecOps and VR use cases such as vulnerability ingestion, remediation workflows, and security incident management.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring for junior developers and administrators.
  • Collaborate with platform owners, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices, SDLC processes, and governance standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.

Required Qualifications:
  • Work Hours 9-6 ET
  • 5+ years of ServiceNow development experience in enterprise environments.
  • Strong hands-on development experience with:
    • JavaScript on the ServiceNow platform (Glide APIs)
    • Scoped applications
    • Flow Designer / Workflow
    • Service Catalog
  • Proven experience supporting multiple ServiceNow modules, including modules such as:
    • ITSM
    • SPM
    • HRSD
    • ECP
    • GRC
    • SecOps / Vulnerability Response
    • Nuvolo
  • Experience with integrations (REST/SOAP), data loads, and system interfaces.
  • Solid understanding of ServiceNow security model:
    • ACLs, roles, groups, data policies
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Citizenship: US Citizenship required.
  • Clearance: Public Trust T3 (Or the ability to obtain and maintain one)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven experience supporting multiple ServiceNow modules, including:
    • SPM
    • HRSD
    • ECP
    • GRC
    • SecOps / Vulnerability Response
    • Nuvolo
  • ServiceNow certifications such as:
    • CSA (Certified System Administrator)
    • CAD (Certified Application Developer)
    • Implementation Specialist certifications (ITSM, HRSD, SPM, SecOps, GRC, etc.)
  • Experience with:
    • CMDB/CSDM and discovery/inventory tools
    • ATF (Automated Test Framework)
    • ServiceNow upgrade planning and execution
    • DevOps tooling and CI/CD pipelines for ServiceNow
  • Federal / regulated industry experience (NIST, RMF, SOX, HIPAA, etc.) a plus.
