Description: This position is located in Anchorage, AK and supports the Ted Stevens Center for Arctic Security Studies (TSC), the newest of six Department of War regional centers. As ACT1's senior IT professional supporting the TSC, you will work closely with the ACT1 team, the Government IT team, the Associate Director of Mission Support and other TSC leaders.
Responsibilities:
  • Administrator for a MS Azure GCC High cloud environment.
  • Assist w/ the administration of the government NIPRNET and SIPRNET networks, as required.
  • Serve as the TSC point of contact for all IT initiatives and the escalation point for Tier 2 and Tier 3 issues; propose IT solutions for the TSC.
  • Manage user accounts on multiple network enclaves and ensure proper documentation is completed IAW Department of War and other federal regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal and external USG IT departments and offices to ensure the TSC GCC environment is compliant with Department of War instructions, regulations and cyber technical orders; provide team IT support as required or requested.
  • Set up, establish and run program IT, to include supporting virtual distance learning programs via various means.

Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or a minimum of two (2) ears of experience with cloud-based information systems or certification in a cloud-based information system.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in U.S. Government computer systems, knowledge of Department of War IT policy and regulations.
  • Current IAM Level 2 Certification (CompTIA Security+ desired)
  • Secret Clearance (or the ability to obtain and hold a secret clearance)
