The LCSW will be responsible for:

• Providing direct clinical services to clients with mental health challenges, including conducting assessments, individual therapy, family therapy, and group sessions.
• Developing and implementing personalized care plans that address the specific needs of each client, facilitating access to additional supportive services when necessary.
• Crisis intervention and emergency response for clients in acute distress or crisis situations, including ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Monitoring client progress through regular check-ins, adjusting treatment strategies based on ongoing assessments and feedback.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, which may include healthcare providers, psychiatrists, and community organizations to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
• Conducting developmentally appropriate screenings and assessments to validate existing treatment plans or identify new needs.
• Ensuring the timely completion of documentation and data submissions as required by state regulations and organization policies.

This role primarily involves working with clients who are experiencing severe emotional disorders and symptoms of major mental illness. As such, the LCSW will engage with a diverse clientele, many of whom come from underserved backgrounds and face significant barriers to accessing mental health services. Understanding the multifaceted challenges these individuals face will be critical in providing effective support and promoting recovery-based approaches to care.

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Nevada.
• Strong knowledge of assessment methods, diagnosis, and treatment approaches for mental health conditions.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and compassionately.
• Strong organizational and planning skills, with an ability to manage multiple caseloads effectively.
• A commitment to ethical practice and adherence to professional guidelines.

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will enhance your candidacy:

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience, preferably in a detox or rehabilitation setting.
• Experience working with culturally diverse populations and an understanding of trauma-informed care principles.
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and familiarity with teletherapy platforms.
