Responsibilities
  • Plan, evaluate, and/or coordinate the installation of local and/or remote data and voice communications equipment such as terminals, modems, video conferencing units, concentrators, minicomputers, central processing units, facsimiles, and pagers.
  • Design entire networks or portions of networks that include selection of hardware and software packages.
  • Oversee voice network reconfiguration and billing reconciliations.
  • Ensure that all software including network control programs satisfies the communications needs covering both the hardware and software installed.
  • Company expert in the development of standards for carrier service and equipment.
  • Ensure that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions.
  • Provide regulatory monitoring and voice network analysis regarding short-and long-range planning for in-house systems.
  • Provide team leadership to less experienced analysts.
  • May work at various unanticipated clients' locations throughout the U.S. Telecommuting is permitted.

Required Experience/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Information Systems or related field and five (5) years of experience as Consulting Systems Engineer, VoIP Systems Engineer, Unified Communications Engineer or related role.
  • In lieu of degree requirement, will accept Two (2) years of experience as a Consulting Systems Engineer, VoIP Systems Engineer, Unified Communications Engineer or related role.
  • Work experience with the following:
    • Five (5) years of experience in Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP).
    • Cisco Unified Communications Manager/Call Manager (CUCM) working in Mixed Mode.
    • Cisco Unity Connection (CXN) through SIP and SCCP integrations.
    • Cisco Contact Center Express (UCCX).
    • Cisco Unified IM and Presence (IM&P).
    • Cisco Emergency Responder (CER).
    • Cisco Telepresence Video Communication Server and Expressway (VCS) including Mobile and Remote Access.
    • Cisco Meeting Server (CMS).
    • Cisco Collaboration Suite including H323 / SIP / SCCP.
    • Cisco's IOS operating systems: CUBE/Voice Gateways / Routers / Switches.
    • Cisco Telepresence Management Suite (TMS) including provisioning and maintaining SX20 and SX80 codecs.
    • InformaCast Advanced and Mobile Paging.
