• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the psychosocial needs of clients in the detox center, focusing on their emotional, mental, and social challenges.
• Design individualized care plans in collaboration with clients and their families, outlining specific goals related to recovery and overall well-being.
• Provide ongoing counseling and emotional support to clients, assisting them in navigating the complex emotions and challenges associated with substance use and recovery.
• Advocate for clients’ rights and ensure they have access to necessary community resources and support services.
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including substance use counselors, healthcare providers, and family members, to coordinate and enhance care delivery.
• Conduct regular virtual visits to monitor clients’ progress and assess any changes in their living conditions or emotional health.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions as needed, focusing on peer support and shared experiences in recovery.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Proactively engage in continuing education opportunities to stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in social work and addiction recovery.

This role specifically targets individuals undergoing detoxification from substance abuse and related mental health disorders. You will work with a diverse client population, including adults of various ages and backgrounds, each navigating their unique recovery journey. Your ability to establish trust and rapport is crucial as clients seek to overcome significant life challenges.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a social work role, preferably in a detox, rehabilitation, or mental health setting.
• In-depth knowledge of addiction recovery practices, social work principles, and available community resources tailored to individuals in recovery.
• Exceptional assessment and counseling skills, with a proven ability to develop effective treatment plans addressing client needs.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration within interdisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications relevant to client management.

• Previous experience working remotely or in a telehealth capacity is preferred.
• Experience in conducting group therapy or facilitating peer support groups will be an asset.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and strategies for managing high-stress situations.
