About the Opportunity

We are a venture-backed technology company building AI-powered solutions that bring real-time intelligence to complex operational environments. Our team is leveraging machine learning and computer vision to solve challenging real-world problems at scale.

We are seeking a Mid-Level Machine Learning Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will help develop and deploy production-ready machine learning systems, working closely with engineers and domain experts to build solutions that directly impact customers and end users.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects, working across the full machine learning lifecycle, and seeing their work deployed in real-world environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, train, and deploy machine learning and computer vision models for production applications
  • Develop solutions involving object detection, image classification, tracking, anomaly detection, and related technologies
  • Conduct experimentation and prototyping to improve model performance and accuracy
  • Optimize models for scalability, reliability, and real-time inference
  • Build and maintain software pipelines that support model training, evaluation, and deployment
  • Collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and customers to solve complex technical challenges
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and improve machine learning systems in production environments
  • Stay current on emerging machine learning and computer vision technologies

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in machine learning, computer vision, or related fields
  • Strong programming skills in Python
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV, YOLO, scikit-learn, or similar technologies
  • Experience working with computer vision techniques including object detection, segmentation, classification, tracking, or image processing
  • Understanding of supervised, unsupervised, and semi-supervised learning methods
  • Strong debugging, optimization, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using Git and modern software development practices
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in a related field
  • Experience deploying machine learning models into production environments
  • Experience with edge computing or real-time systems
  • Familiarity with anomaly detection, autoencoders, or traditional computer vision techniques
  • Experience working with industrial, robotics, automation, or operational technology environments

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation and equity package
  • Opportunity to work on challenging, real-world machine learning problems
  • High-impact role with significant ownership and visibility
  • Collaborative and mission-driven engineering culture
  • Hybrid work environment based in Cambridge, MA
  • Opportunity to help shape the future direction of a rapidly growing company
