VMware Administrator


Location: Remote


Position Overview
We are seeking a Junior VMware Administrator with 3 5 years of experience supporting VMware virtualization environments. The ideal candidate will assist with VMware infrastructure administration, system monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, and day-to-day operations while working closely with senior engineers and IT teams.


Responsibilities

Administer and support VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter environments.
Create, maintain, and troubleshoot virtual machines and host infrastructure.
Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity.
Perform patching, upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery support.
Troubleshoot Windows Server, Active Directory, storage, and virtualization issues.
Maintain technical documentation and support ticket resolution.


Requirements

3 5 years of experience in systems administration or virtualization support.
Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Strong troubleshooting and customer support skills.


Preferred Qualifications

VMware VCTA or VCP certification.
Experience with PowerShell scripting.
Exposure to VMware Horizon, Azure, or AWS.
Experience supporting Federal or DoD environment


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $35-50hr (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
